Dissemination of the project results and visibility of ‘Read Me’

Dissemination of the project results and visibility of ‘Read Me’
Presentations at schools, presentations at universities, conversations with friends, news on the sites of our organizations, interviews in media, video materials on our youtube chanels. Thanks to all this things we were able to inform about our projects thousand other young people who will participate in similar projects in near future.

It is very important to do it after every youth exchange to give chance to all European youth to develop their key competences together with Erasmus+ programme ;-)

Evaluation of the ‘Read Me’ youth exchange

Evaluation of the ‘Read Me’ youth exchange

During this meeting we had a chance to discuss how was our youth exchange. It seemed to be a long time from the very beginning of it. As on every project there were things which went smooth and things which were problematic. We needed to cooperate as group to have things done.

We have learned a lot about ‘Human library’ method. Our event was succesful. We are sure that after it young citizens of Zamośc got a big knowledge about things they didnt know before ‘from the first’.
We are already making plans for future projects thinking how to use experience wich we got in Zwierzyniec ;-)

Culinary Evening

Culinary Evening
Culinary evening is a method to discover cultures of all participating countries  through food.
All teams that are involved in this youth exchange project agree to bring food that was discussed in the APV leader meeting previously – cheese, sausages and sweets. Each dish is somehow bound to each countries culture and represents it in a way.

All teams together arrange the evening event and put together many tables into one to create a big platform for all teams to put their traditional foods and mix them with others. All dishes were mixed. We decided that since the main subject of the project is about stereotypes we wouldn't label and separate the foods into country groups, but instead mix them all together and in case anyone wonders the origin of the food they may ask the participating teams.

The event was held 26th march, on a Tuesday. Which was the first active day of the exchange and became a good introduction for all teams into the project.

All of our team participants were very excited, to taste other countries different foods and bring a potentially new sensation to our taste buds and show other countries foods  that we brought – traditional Latvian cheese with thyme, pork sausages, rye bread and sweets made from it .

The event went very smoothly, it involved a lot interaction between teams and everyone in our team was left satisfied.

Our ‘Human library in Zamość’

Our ‘Human library in Zamość’

The big day came. We were all prepared thanks to simulation which which we had day before in Zwierzyniec. Everyone of us had his role. Some of us were librarians, some of us was responsible for media (recording videos, making photos, talking to TV and radio), others were books.

Whole event took 4h and readers were very interested in it. We would like you to check video material which we prepared.

You can watch it here:

Trip to forest.

Trip to forest.
After four days of activities in the Erasmus youth exchange project called “Read me”, coordinated by HEureka Generator in Poland, us “children of Europe”, as our always smiling facilitator likes to call us, went on a much needed relaxing hike to the Nad Tanwia National Park - a change of scenery that was much appreciated.

Right from the beginning, we were quite impressed by how clean and well organised the park and the trails were - breaking some of our own stereotypes about eastern Europe.

Of course, the stunning nature was the main attraction. Fresh air, green trees, roaring waterfalls and, last but not least, great company helped us assimilate what we learned in the past days.

We were quite lucky as well, as the sky was blue and the Sun was shining, charging-up our batteries.

Teamwork was of the essence, as we had many obstacles along our travel, including log crossings and steep climbs. We were there for each other and that brought us all closer, even though sometimes the group split up due to slightly different walking speeds.

All in all, everyone had a great time and are ready to continue our project work to the end.
